FPN Best Practices Showcase Winners Announced

The winners of FPN’s first Best Practice Showcase were chosen by an honorary panel of judges including:

  • Dottie Hinkle, Director of Program and Planning for the Area Agency on Aging for North Florida, Inc.
  • Richard Prudom, Deputy Secretary/Chief of Staff for the Department of Elder Affairs
  • Kathryn Hyer, PhD, MPP, Professor Director, Florida Policy Exchange Center on Aging Associate Director, School of Aging Studies at Florida State University
  • Kimberly Smoak, Agency for Health Care Administration
  • Heather Jones, representing the Health Services Advisory Group
  • LuMarie Polivka-West, Florida State University Claude Pepper Center, Research Associate Volunteer

The competition was chaired by LuMarie Polivka-West and originated by Diane Hall, volunteer chair of the FPN Executive Committee, along with volunteers serving on the Provider Work Group. The concept was created to explore AND share alternative care models which have proven effective for older adults in Florida.
